I like stars. This was the inspiration for my business logo.  This is the star that hangs above the door on the meeting house at my marae. 
Ko Hinetapora te whare tipuna - the name of that meeting house is Hinetapora, a famous rangatira, wahine kaihautu who lived around the Tuparoa region near Ruatorea.
The words around the star say “Kopu Te Whetu Marama o te Ata”
Venus is the Star of the Morning.
And no, I doubt it had little to do with being a Satan back in those days, but everything to do with the strong Anglican faith that ran through those parts in the 1800s when the house was built!
